Microsoft Graph Connectors GA roll out to standard release

As previously communicated in MC222601 (September 2020) we are following up with more details on Microsoft Graph connectors for Microsoft Search. This release includes several connectors available within the Microsoft 365 Admin Center such as ServiceNow, Enterprise websites, MediaWiki, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, and more.

Key Points

  • Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID: 67139
  • Timing:
    • Standard release – currently rolling out and will be available to all tenants worldwide by end of February 2021
  • Roll-out: tenant level
  • Control type: admin control
  • Action: review and assess

How this will affect your organization

If your organization has configured Graph connectors, any Microsoft Search user in your organization will be able to view search results from Graph connectors in clients such as Microsoft SharePoint, Office.com, and Microsoft Search for Bing.

What you need to do to prepare

If you had previously limited access of search results from Graph connectors to only users in Targeted release (for purposes of testing or validation) in your production tenants, ensure that it is acceptable for your users in Standard release to view those results.

If you plan to use this service, you may need to purchase additional Graph Connector index quota as utilization has become subject to billing. For more information on licensing and pricing details, please refer to details on Graph Connectors documentation site: License requirements and pricing.

Note:

For customers actively using Microsoft Graph connectors prior to November 2020, you will not be charged, until April 2021.

For a detailed list of available connectors see also Microsoft Graph connectors gallery.
