Microsoft Forms: Forms Mobile parity with Forms desktop for Creation & Analysis

Form designers who create forms and analyze results from Mobile will now have access to the full Form’s product functionality including all question types, settings, quiz, and collaboration. This will be available to new forms and Existing forms in the browser and a few weeks later in the Office Mobile app.

Azure Active Directory: Continuous Access Evaluation (CAE)

CAE (Continuous Access Evaluation) provides enhanced security and resilience by issuing long-lived tokens and being able to revoke user access in real-time when risk is introduced, such as when the user is terminated, or the user moves to an untrusted location.

Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Introducing Built-In-Protection

We’re are introducing a powerful new default security preset called Built-in-Protection in Defender for Office 365.

  • Built-in-Protection is a third preset security policy (like the Standard and Strict preset policies), and is enabled by default for all new and existing customers. It will implement a version of Safe Links and Safe Attachments resulting in low impact on the end-user. It’s low impact as the end user experience will not be changed – URL links will not be wrapped. However, it will implement delivery time file and URL detonation as well as time of click protection.

Stream on SharePoint – Viewership Retention

Users will now be able to identify the key moments in a video using “Viewership Retention” chart. This chart is available for all ODSP videos from when the feature is turned on. You will be able to see the percentage of views, relative to the peak viewed moment in your video, across it’s duration

Aligning OneDrive sync on Windows support with Windows OS lifecycle policy

Beginning January 1, 2022, we will be aligning the OneDrive Desktop application (sync app) support lifecycle with the Windows support lifecycle.

  • Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 will be supported until January 10, 2023.
  • Windows 8 reached end of support on January 12, 2016.

Viva insights Manager insights

This month, Viva insights is releasing expanded insights for managers and team leads. Viva Insights features for managers and team leads will be available to users with a Microsoft Viva Insights license. These new insights expand the value of Viva insights to managers and team leads who have at least one direct report. Viva insights stores a team definition that is built upon your org data from AAD.

Microsoft Teams: Check-in and room release for Teams panels

Allow users to “check in” to a meeting room from a Teams panel. If no users check in to the room, the scheduled meeting is removed from the room’s calendar. The room is then returned to the room inventory and available for other users to reserve and use.
