Enhancing Model Context Protocol (MCP) based agents with rich interactive UI widgets support

MCP-based agents in Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat will support rich interactive UI widgets, enhancing user interactions with structured visuals. This rollout begins late February 2026. Admins manage agents via Microsoft 365 Admin Center with existing controls and Entra ID group access. No action is required to prepare.

User reported security signals in Teams admin center

Teams admins will soon access a new Protection reports section in the Teams admin center to review and export user-reported security submissions for calls (from mid-April 2026) and later for chats and channels. This requires enabling user reporting settings and helps improve organizational security monitoring.

Change meeting organizer via PowerShell cmdlet in Exchange Online

A new Exchange Online PowerShell cmdlet will allow admins to change the organizer of existing meetings or series, preserving meeting history and updating attendees silently within the tenant. Rollout begins mid-May 2026, requiring no configuration. User-initiated organizer changes in Outlook and Teams will follow later.

Transitioning Teams Android Device Management from Teams admin Center to the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal

Teams Android device management is moving from the Teams admin center to the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal between April and September 2026. PMP will unify management of all Teams devices with enhanced features. No immediate action is needed; devices will auto-appear in PMP at General Availability.
