A new usage report will be available in the Microsoft 365 admin center for Copilot Connectors in Microsoft 365 Copilot, designed to give organizations a detailed view of how connectors are being used within Microsoft 365 Copilot. This report provides insights into overall connector activity, publisher-level trends, and connector powered response patterns over time, along with detailed user-level connectors adoption data. With these analytics, admins can monitor adoption, identify usage patterns, and optimize Copilot experiences to drive greater value across their organization. #copilotcontrolsystem
Custom engine agents will support file uploads from local storage or OneDrive starting November 2025, allowing agents to access files briefly and respond to queries. This feature, enabled by default, applies to all users and matches Copilot’s supported file types, with image support coming later.
Starting January 2026, PowerPoint will retire the “Reuse Slides” feature on Windows and Mac desktops, removing it from the ribbon with no option to re-enable. Users should update documentation and consider alternative slide reuse methods. No compliance issues are noted.
Microsoft 365 Copilot introduces shared Copilot Notebooks for team collaboration and a new mobile app for on-the-go access. Rolling out from October to December 2025, these features enhance cross-functional workflows, require Copilot licenses, and maintain data security and compliance. Admins manage availability via Office Cloud Policy Service.
Microsoft Defender for Identity’s Unified Sensor is now generally available, enabling identity protections on qualifying domain controllers via the existing Defender for Endpoint agent without extra installation. Activation requires Windows Server 2019+, specific updates, and licensing. It simplifies identity alerts and attack disruption with no downtime.
Microsoft is updating SharePoint document libraries with a simplified command bar, improved breadcrumb navigation, more visible custom views, filter pills, and a new options button. Changes begin November 2025, preserving existing customizations except for updated command bar formatter behavior. No action required to prepare.
Microsoft Secure Score will add a new improvement action from Microsoft Defender for Identity to prompt password changes for accounts with potentially leaked credentials. Rolling out November to December 2025, it requires no admin action and appears only if Defender for Identity sensors are deployed.
Starting February 2026, Microsoft Authenticator will block Entra credentials on jailbroken/rooted iOS and Android devices through a phased rollout: warning, blocking, then wiping credentials. This security feature requires no admin setup. Users on compliant devices remain unaffected. Organizations should notify users and update documentation accordingly.
