Microsoft Purview | Insider Risk Management: New Microsoft Fabric risk indicators

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management is expanding its detections to Microsoft Fabric, with ready-to-use indicators based on user activities in Power BI. This update extends its risk detection capabilities to Microsoft Fabric products by offering ready-to-use risk indicators based on activities that may lead to a data security incident in Power BI. Insider Risk admins with appropriate permissions can opt into these new indicators in the new Microsoft Purview portal or in the Purview compliance portal at Insider Risk Management settings. The update will begin rolling out early April 2024 and expect to complete by late October 2024.

Microsoft Teams: Queues app (Premium)

The new Queues app is a solution for collaboratively handling customer calls natively in Teams. Starting with surfacing call queue calls, your team members can use the Queues app to handle inbound calls, be it PSTN or VOIP. They can make outbound calls on behalf of the call queues or auto attendant that they are assigned to. And they can review the call queue statistics and seamlessly collaborate with their lead and colleagues within the flow of work. Authorized users, with permissions from Teams admins, can monitor their call queues and auto attendants in realtime, generate reports on queue and agent performance, configure their call queues and auto attendants using Teams settings, and opt in or out their team members to optimize for business needs. This is a Teams Premium feature.

Configuration Change – Update Allow List

Windows Autopatch customers with configured network restrictions must add the new domain name (hm-iot-in-4-prod-prna01.azure-devices.net) to their allow list immediately to continue using the service. Instructions for adding the domain to the firewall are provided in the ‘Network requirements’ link.

Teams Webinars is available for GCC-High clouds. This includes similar functionality that is already available for worldwide multi-tenant, such as interactivity for up to 1,000 attendees, registration support, co-organizer support, breakout rooms, attendee reporting, and Dynamics 365 marketing integration.

Microsoft Teams: Survivable Branch Appliance support for call controls, auto attendants, and call queues

We continue to expand our Survivable Branch Appliance (SBA) capabilities. We are adding support for call transfer, forwarding, and the ability to manage call routing settings for calls to a call queue or auto attendant, in the event of an outage. If incoming calls to a call queue or auto attendant are received during an outage, organizations will have the option to choose to redirect these calls to an alternate call queue or auto attendant or to reach a specific user within the site, ensuring that important calls are not missed.

Updates to the Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 user interface

Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 UI will be updated to create better visual alignment with Microsoft Copilot (formerly Bing Chat Enterprise). The updates include adding a green shield icon, a persistent legal and data protection disclaimer, a new AI accuracy disclaimer, and removing company branding/logo from the UI. The updates will roll out in late March and be completed by mid-April 2024. These are UI updates only and do not impact Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 terms, privacy, or data protections. It is recommended to prepare users by informing them of the UI updates.

Updates to the Microsoft Copilot (formerly Bing Chat Enterprise) user interface

Microsoft Copilot (formerly Bing Chat Enterprise) user interface (UI) will be updated to simplify the user experience. The updates include replacing the green “Protected” icon with a green shield icon, adding a persistent legal and data protection disclaimer, adding a new AI accuracy disclaimer, removing company branding/logo, and replacing the chat style selector with a new Copilot settings toggle. The UI updates are expected to be completed by mid-April 2024 and will not impact Microsoft Copilot terms, privacy, or commercial data protection. Users should look for the green shield next to their profile icon or the persistent disclaimer underneath the prompt box to recognize when they are using Copilot with commercial data protection.
