We’ve released updates to the following update channels for Microsoft 365 Apps:

Outlook is adding logging and Microsoft Purview eDiscovery support for current and future Copilot features, available across various platforms. Rollout starts mid-April 2024 and ends late April 2024, with no admin action needed. Learn more about eDiscovery at the provided link.

As users search in office.com, sharepoint.com, bing at work they will find content from Viva Engage in the search results. We will first start with question posts and then roll out discussion posts from Engage.

Organizers, co-organizers, and presenters can chat privately in a separate chat from attendees. This chat is available to access before, during, and after the event.

Users can copy and paste a link of a supported file into the Draft with Copilot UI as a reference instead of searching for it in the file reference menu.

Microsoft Teams meeting recordings will now be saved to the organizer’s OneDrive by default, with rollout dates varying from mid-May to late August 2024, depending on the service availability. Admins can use PowerShell policy ‘TeamsRecordingRollOutPolicy’ for special cases. No significant user impact is expected, but admins may need to update documentation.

Microsoft Teams is shortening meeting URLs for easier sharing across all platforms. The rollout starts in early May 2024 and will be completed by early July 2024. Existing URLs will still work; new URLs will have a simplified syntax. Organizations should check integrations that use URL parameters and update documentation. No admin action is required.

Microsoft Teams is enhancing the annotations feature to allow interaction with apps and websites during screen-sharing sessions without ending the annotation. Rollout begins early May 2024, with completion by late May. No admin action needed; users should be informed of the update.
