Reminder: Stream (Classic) retires on April 15, 2024, and all unmigrated videos will be deleted

Microsoft will retire Stream (Classic) on April 15, 2024 and all videos on Stream (Classic) will be deleted after the retirement date. Stream (Classic) has already been auto disabled for end users, and admins can delay this change till the retirement date. Admins must migrate their tenant’s Stream (Classic) data to Stream (on SharePoint) before the retirement date to prevent data loss.

Microsoft Teams: Private and shared channels links

In Microsoft Teams, we are extending support for channel links to include both private and shared channels.  Once released, members of private and shared channels will be able to get links to a private or shared channel or channel post to share with other Teams users.

Microsoft Outlook: New Sync Feature

A button option to initiate email sync is coming to the new Microsoft Outlook for Windows and Outlook on the web. This will allow users to ensure that their send and receive email experience is up to date. This functionality will be in the View tab of the Ribbon.

New Power Platform endpoint used by Power Apps

Beginning February 2024, Microsoft Power Apps is introducing a new endpoint for the Power Platform API as a service dependency change in the public cloud: *.powerplatform.com. The Power Apps end-user experiences will leverage this new endpoint. This change has been reflected in the documentation Power Platform URLs and IP address ranges.

Classic Teams users to be updated to new Teams after March 31, 2024

As communicated in MC686187 (October ’23), after March 31, 2024, any classic Teams users that haven’t updated to new Teams, will be automatically updated to new Teams.

With March 31 being less than three months away, we advise you to update users in your organization to new Teams as quickly as you can.

Microsoft 365 admin center: Granular Add-ins availability control from education Office Store

With this feature, education tenant administrators will be able to manage the availability of Add-ins from the Office store at a more granular level. We will provide three options—Non-adult student, Adult student, and Faculty and staff—under Microsoft admin center > Org Settings > User owned apps and services > Let users access the Office store. The options are based on the user’s role and age group properties.
