This adds new enhancements to the device onboarding page, including these: search by IP address to look up devices, filter using the new “Valid user” filter, use a refined device list to only include devices that can be DLP supported (exclude Android devices from showing in the device onboarding list), and use new properties in the export report (valid user, first onboarded date, MDATP device ID, Defender engine version, Defender Mocamp version, Endpoint DLP status, last policy sync time, and Advanced Classification bandwidth usage exceeded).

Microsoft Teams for Web is now available for Firefox, Safari, and Linux users. It supports the latest three versions of Firefox and the latest two versions of Safari. Users can switch back to classic Teams for Web until mid-May 2024. No admin action is required before the rollout.

Microsoft Teams is introducing a tenant-wide policy to control permissions for downloading meeting transcripts, with IT admins able to exempt certain security group members. The rollout begins mid-May 2024 for Targeted Release and extends to General Availability in various stages through August 2024. Default transcript permissions will also be updated post-rollout.

Global and Engage admins can manage Microsoft Viva Engage without a dedicated service plan after a change in May 2024. Other admin roles still require a “Viva Engage Core” plan. Admins should adjust licenses accordingly and update documentation. Rollout is automatic.

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management is introducing a feature to detect exfiltration of sensitive data to free public domain emails, with a public preview in mid-May 2024 and general availability in late June 2024. The update enhances email insight alerts and adds new domain detection for better security incident prevention.

In mid-May 2024, Basic Mobility and Security will undergo updates including UI changes and new URL locations. The device list UI will be updated, and the URL will change to https://admin.microsoft.com/Adminportal/Home#/IntuneDevices. APNs certificate management will move to the Microsoft Azure portal, and activating Basic Mobility and Security will shift to the Microsoft Purview overview page. Organizations should inform IT admins and update documentation and firewalls accordingly.

Azure AD Graph is retiring, and admins must migrate classic Conditional Access policies to Microsoft Graph by July 10, 2024. Failure to migrate will prevent new device enrollment and compliance via the Company Portal and Intune apps across various platforms.
