Microsoft Teams: Custom background for Teams Rooms on Android

IT admins can upload custom background images on the Teams admin center to reinforce their company brand on their Teams Rooms devices. The main room display, extended room display, and touch console can each have its own specific background image. PNG, JPG, and JPEG, formats are supported. This feature is only available with the Teams Rooms Pro license.

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Audit – New Exchange and SharePoint Logs for Microsoft Purview Audit Standard Users

Microsoft Purview is expanding access to wider cloud security activity events for Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint. As part of the changes, standard users of Purview Audit will begin to generate four new Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint events that were previously generated only for Audit Premium licensed users: MailItemsAccessed, Send, SearchQueryInitiatedExchange, and SearchQueryInitiatedSharepoint. The following logs will differ based on the user’s license and additional metadata will be added to Exchange logs when the user is assigned an Audit Premium license: SensitivityLabel for MailItemsAccessed.

Microsoft Teams: Ability to change language on Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows

Users can change the default app language on Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows by tapping “More” and then “Language” on the room console. Admins can select up to three languages that users can pick from in the room.

Teams Multitenant Org (MTO) in GCC, GCC High, and DoD clouds

We’re pleased to announce the upcoming Multi-Tenant Organization (MTO) capabilities in Microsoft Teams. Admins can activate these features by configuring an MTO group in the Microsoft 365 admin center, while users utilize the new Teams desktop client.

Aimed at organizations managing employees across multiple tenants within the same cloud boundary, these features provide a seamless collaboration experience within MTO groups, enabling access to resources across tenants. The capabilities cover search, chat, calling, meetings, and content sharing, eliminating silos and facilitating collaboration across tenant boundaries.

Microsoft 365 Groups in Outlook: Users can now choose to switch to the new Groups experience in Outlook on the web

We are excited to announce that users will be able to choose to transition from the old Microsoft 365 Groups in Outlook to the new Groups in Outlook on the web and the new Outlook for Windows. The transition is optional for users, who can switch back to old Groups if desired.

System generated emails from workflows and alerts will now show SharePoint Online as the sender display name

We have made some changes to system generated emails from SharePoint workflows and alerts display names.

To align system generated emails with best practices, SharePoint Online workflow and alert emails will be displayed as “SharePoint Online”. There is no change to the underlying sending email address, no-reply@sharepointonline.com.
