Microsoft Teams Meeting users will be notified directly through the error message on meeting right pane for why they cannot access meeting chats when their chat access is limited by policy or due to system limitations and unexpected errors.

Priority Account Chat Controls General Availability

As part of the Teams Premium package, we are introducing a new management capability: Priority Account Chat Controls that empower users with decision making controls for unwanted internal communications via policies setting. Users are notified about chats from new contacts, giving them a choice to accept or block the conversations.

14-Day Reminder of Private Unlisted Group Removal

Pursuant to MC673984 and MC673984, all private unlisted groups (also known as “Secret Groups”) will be retired on 11/11/2023. The retirement of this feature was first announced via the Message center on September 1, 2022 (MC424414). Subsequent announcements drove awareness of private unlisted (“secret”) groups being made inaccessible on September 1, 2023 (MC673984).

This is the 14-day reminder that private unlisted groups in Yammer will be permanently deleted and deprecated on November 11, 2023.

Microsoft Search: Monthly search report

The monthly search report provides key tenant search metrics and insights for your organization directly into the search admin’s mailbox, allowing administrators an easy way to understand how search performed in the previous month. Administrators can follow links provided in the report to the Search & Intelligence Admin Center for more information and deeper insights.

Microsoft Teams: School Connection for parents in Microsoft Teams (mobile)

The School Connection app in Microsoft Teams mobile empowers parents and guardians to engage, support, and monitor their student’s learning at school. As a parent, you can stay up to date on assignments, grades, insights from the past month on digital activity, and more. This release will be generally available to all regions except countries in the European Union (EU) and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA); the GA for those countries will be coming at a later date.

IT administrators can already browse and purchase Teams certified devices in the device store in Teams Admin Center. This update will enable IT admins to try and buy Teams Phone and Teams Rooms licenses from the device store.

Outlook: Sort By Category

This feature allows users to sort their emails by categories in inbox and other folders. It will help users stay focused and organized by allowing them to group related emails together directly in the message list. This update will be available in the new Outlook for Windows and web.
