We’ve released updates to the following update channels for Microsoft 365 Apps:
Frontline workers and managers will be able to take appropriate actions when they receive notifications on key activities. For example, when a manager receives a notification for requests, clicking on notification will take them directly to the request approval page. When frontline workers gets notified of new shift schedule, the message will take them directly to the schedule view.
Today with large cases in eDiscovery (Premium), organizations have the ability to export Microsoft Teams conversations. For many organizations, there is a need to export the searched messages as individual messages. With this new feature, you will have an opportunity to choose from exporting individual messages or whole conversations in eDiscovery (Premium).
In the Tasks app and Microsoft Planner, which helps power the Tasks app in Teams, buckets are a common way to organize tasks into different areas of work. The mobile experience for the Tasks app in Teams will soon be updated to make it easier to filter to a specific bucket or set of
buckets, so you can focus on tasks in your area. We expect this simple user experience change to provide greater focus and greater productivity, while maintaining the familiar look and feel throughout the Tasks app.
Organization admins will now be able to apply container labels to rosters in Microsoft Planner. This is enabled directly in Planner and by using Microsoft Graph APIs. Rosters are created automatically for task lists in Microsoft Loop. Tenant admins can make container labels for these rosters mandatory and set a default label, or not make them mandatory. The roster and the Planner plan contained by the Roster then follow container policy settings. For Graph API requests, if labels are mandatory as per tenant settings, roster creation fails if a label is not provided at the time of request.
Remediations are script packages that can detect and fix common support issues on a user’s device before they even realize there’s a problem. These remediations can help reduce support calls. On demand remediations enables admins to execute a remediation on demand and as soon as possible on a single device.
With this capability organizations can leverage Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention to protect sensitive content on files stored on remote network shares or mapped network drives with the same protection behavior as a file on a mounted hard drive.
Viva Pulse is a new employee feedback experience that is available for use with your Viva Suite subscription. Viva Pulse empowers managers and project team leaders to request and receive feedback from their teams at any time. Managers and project leads can choose from research-based templates to quickly create a survey and send it to select individuals or groups. They can also track feedback to understand team sentiment over time and show teams they’re being heard by working together to take clear steps to address needs.
We have begun rolling out a new admin experience for Viva Pulse. This update is designed to create more consistency and clarity navigating the admin experience across the Viva suite.
With this feature, users can share SharePoint pages and news posts individually without having to share the entire site, just like other Microsoft 365 files. All sharing settings at the site and tenant level will be respected.
With the new “Share an Update” feature, leaders can share updates of their team goals to the members of their organization directly from Viva Goals. Updates are sent to users via email.
