As announced last month in the MC514981, Yammer will be rebranding to Viva Engage this year to provide a consistent and delightful experience to our customers. We want to provide an update around dates and the in-product changes you can expect. As a reminder, the Yammer Communities app for Teams has already been rebranded to Viva Engage. We are now turning our attention to the mobile app (iOS & Android) and the Communities app for Outlook rebrand including their app icons and name.

We will continue sending message center alerts and provide details and resources to help your organization understand, prepare, and communicate these changes. We are excited to make available a rebranding kit that includes templates, logos and more that can help you communicate the change. These assets can be download  – here

Outlook: Labeling email from attachments’ label in Outlook on the web

Outlook on the web will match the highest sensitivity label from attachments on email. Admin could configure this either use the cmdlet set-labelpolicy advanced setting or use the Compliance portal to configure the label policy(Roadmap: 100158). Customer will see automatically or recommendations that email gets the higher label from attachments’ label.

Microsoft Purview Data Lifecycle Management: Retention policy support for Microsoft Teams control messages

Microsoft Teams control messages are system-generated artifacts that contain information about actions taken in Teams – for example, adding or removing a user from a chat. These messages show up on the Teams client as system messages. Ex. User A added User B to the chat and shared all chat history. More information on these types of messages can be found here.

Until now, control messages were not included in the supported types of messages for retention policies for Teams (user chats, standard channels, shared channels, and private channel user messages).

‘Bookings with me’, is a streamlined personal version of Microsoft Bookings that serves as a personal scheduling page that integrates with the free/busy information from your Outlook calendar. We’ll be removing the “preview” tag and making it generally available. Bookings with me will be available in Outlook on the web and the new Outlook for Windows.

Sensitivity bar provides a more prominent and contextual user experience for viewing and applying sensitivity labels in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Outlook on the web will be rolling out the new sensitivity bar to keep the consistency across Microsoft 365 apps. It will also
support the label colors defined by administrators.
