Intune audit logs will only be retained for one year starting April 2024. Users can export logs older than one year before the change in the Intune admin center. Notify IT admins and update documentation guidelines.

90-Day Reminder: Windows 10, version 21H2 end of servicing (Enterprise & Education)

On June 11, 2024, Enterprise, Education, and IoT Enterprise editions of Windows 10, version 21H2 will reach end of servicing. The upcoming June 2024 security update, to be released on June 11, 2024, will be the last update available for this version. After this date, devices running this version will no longer receive monthly security and preview updates containing protections from the latest security threats.

Plan for Change: Intune Service Administrator role will be required for Enrollment device platform restrictions

Starting on April 11, 2024, or soon after, we are updating the requirements for configuring Enrollment device platform restrictions. Admins will be required to have the ‘Intune Service Administrator’ role-based access control (RBAC) permission to update this policy.

“User consent to apps” setting in the Microsoft 365 portal to be retired

The “User consent to Apps” setting in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center will be retired in early April 2024, and users are recommended to use the user consent settings in the Entra portal instead. No changes will be made to existing settings, but admins will no longer be able to edit the policy using the Microsoft 365 admin center. Users can set their tenant-wide user consent policy through the Entra portal. No preparation is needed, but users needing to view or edit their tenant-wide consent settings should use the experience in the Entra portal.

Microsoft Teams: Multi-instance app customization support for Teams apps

Microsoft Teams admin center will support multi-instance app customization and management, allowing IT admins to create multiple customized versions of the same Teams app for different groups or departments. This feature will roll out from early April 2024 to early May 2024, improving user satisfaction and utility. No action is needed to prepare for this change.

Product transitions to the cloud.microsoft domain – February 2024

Microsoft products and scenarios are now available at the cloud.microsoft domain, in parallel with the previous domains. The previous domains will be redirected to cloud.microsoft in the coming months. Users will be redirected to applications under cloud.microsoft domains gradually and automatically. No specific user action is required. Admins should ensure that connections to *.cloud.microsoft are not blocked from their clients and enterprise networks.

Reminder: Azure Information Protection Add-in for Office retires in April

The Azure Information Protection (AIP) Unified Labeling add-in for Office will retire in April 2024. Organizations must upgrade to Microsoft Purview Information Protection client version 3.0 to continue using the Information Protection Scanner, Viewer, and File Labeler. Sensitivity labels must transition to the built-in labeling experience in Microsoft 365 Apps. For detailed migration steps, refer to the provided playbook.
