Microsoft Viva: Viva Pulse Admin Led Trial

Microsoft Viva Pulse Admin Led Trial is now available in the Microsoft Admin Center. Admin trials offer 25 users in an organization access to Viva Pulse for 30 days. The trial will be live worldwide in mid-March 2024. To activate the trial, the Microsoft 365 Global Admin or the Billing Admin can assign licenses and inform trial users to access Viva Pulse through Microsoft Teams or the web browser. Microsoft Secure Score: Removing a recommendation from Microsoft Defender for Identity

Microsoft Defender for Identity recommendation ‘Remove the attribute ‘password never expires’ from accounts in your domain’ will be gradually withdrawn from Microsoft Secure Score improvement actions starting mid-March 2024. No action is needed from users to prepare for this rollout.

Microsoft Viva Insights: We are pausing the Digest email

Microsoft Viva Insights will pause sending Digest emails to users starting April 1, 2024. Users can use the Viva Insights app in Teams and web or the Viva Insights Outlook add-in instead. Users should review and assess the impact on their organization and end-users, and update their documentation as appropriate.

Expanding invitations to move to Windows 11 to more people

If your organization relies on Microsoft to manage Windows updates, you’ll start seeing a new user interface on eligible Windows 10 devices soon. Starting with the April 2024 security update, a new message will appear after signing in and usually following a reboot. Update to Get-CsOnlineUser and Get-CsUserPolicyAssignment cmdlet in the Teams PowerShell Module

The message announces an update to the Teams PowerShell Module. The LocationPolicy, OptionFlags, and VoicePolicy attributes will be retired from Get-CsOnlineUser and Get-CsUserPolicyAssignment cmdlets. This change will be implemented in March 2024. Administrators will need to use the Teams PowerShell Module cmdlets to get LocationPolicy and VoicePolicy information. Detailed instructions are provided in the message.

Non-security preview updates will continue to be released for Windows 11, version 22H2

If you use or manage Windows 11, version 22H2 devices, your opportunity to receive non-security preview updates has been extended. These updates bring optional fixes and productivity improvements that you can get every fourth week of the month as a preview of what will be available in the next month’s security update . Previously, we communicated that the last optional non-security preview update for version 22H2 would be released on February 27, 2024. Based on user feedback, this date has been changed so more customers can take advantage of our continuous innovation quickly.

Retirement of Post by Email and Reply by Email in Viva Engage (Yammer)

We would like to inform you of an upcoming change that affects how a subset of users post and reply to conversations via email. The ability to create a new post or reply to an existing post directly using email will be retired from Viva Engage starting on March 31st, 2024. Interactive emails in Outlook provide the richest way to stay engaged in Viva Engage conversations, polls, questions, and praise, without leaving the Outlook inbox.

Historically, users could create new posts in a Viva Engage community by sending an email to a specific email address for that community. Additionally, users can reply to an existing post via an email sent to that conversation. These flows will stop working. Users must instead utilize one of the options listed below for their scenario.
