Windows Autopatch customers with configured network restrictions must add the new domain name (hm-iot-in-4-prod-prna01.azure-devices.net) to their allow list immediately to continue using the service. Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 UI will be updated to create better visual alignment with Microsoft Copilot (formerly Bing Chat Enterprise). The updates include adding a green shield icon, a persistent legal and data protection disclaimer, a new AI accuracy disclaimer, and removing company branding/logo from the UI. The updates will roll out in late March and be completed by mid-April 2024. These are UI updates only and do not impact Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 terms, privacy, or data protections. It is recommended to prepare users by informing them of the UI updates.

Microsoft Copilot (formerly Bing Chat Enterprise) user interface (UI) will be updated to simplify the user experience. The updates include replacing the green “Protected” icon with a green shield icon, adding a persistent legal and data protection disclaimer, adding a new AI accuracy disclaimer, removing company branding/logo, and replacing the chat style selector with a new Copilot settings toggle. The UI updates are expected to be completed by mid-April 2024 and will not impact Microsoft Copilot terms, privacy, or commercial data protection. Users should look for the green shield next to their profile icon or the persistent disclaimer underneath the prompt box to recognize when they are using Copilot with commercial data protection.

Microsoft Teams is rolling out a new update, and all new feature development will only be available in the new Teams. After March 31, 2024, existing values for new Teams client policies will no longer be valid for non-VDI customers, and after June 30, 2024, for VDI customers. The “New Teams only” policy is now available in the Teams admin center (TAC), and a new Teams usage report is available in the Teams admin center. To ensure a seamless update to new Teams, admins should gradually roll out TAC policies, ensure users have the minimum operating system requirements, and ensure users are not blocked from app installation due to configuration issues. The classic Teams for Virtualized Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) will reach end of availability on June 30, 2024.

The Microsoft Clipchamp desktop app is introducing support for logins with Azure Active Directory/Entra ID accounts. This means that work accounts will be supported in the desktop app from version 3.x, which is being rolled out gradually to Microsoft 365 organizations. The rollout will begin early May 2024 and is expected to be completed by early June 2024. Users will not need to access Clipchamp from a web browser and can use the desktop app instead. Admins can manage the desktop app’s availability for users and the availability of Clipchamp’s personal and/or work versions in the desktop app.

Stream (Classic) will be retired on April 15, 2024, and all unmigrated videos will be deleted. Admins must migrate their tenant’s Stream (Classic) data to Stream (on SharePoint) before the retirement date to prevent data loss. Stream (on SharePoint) offers many capabilities, including recording and playing videos directly in many everyday work and school apps, managing video files with the same security and admin controls as the rest of your files in SharePoint and OneDrive, and searching for videos anywhere in Microsoft 365.
