Reminder: Azure Information Protection Add-in for Office is retired

The Azure Information Protection (AIP) Unified Labeling add-in for Office is retiring on April 11th, 2024. Organizations must transition to the Microsoft Purview Information Protection client for continued support. Important dates include the release of a new client and the permanent disabling of the AIP add-in in May 2024. Organizations should refer to the provided playbook and blog for migration steps and details.

The April 2024 security update is now available

The April 2024 security update is now available for Windows 11 and all supported versions of Windows 10. We recommend that you install these updates promptly. For more information about the contents of this update, see the release notes, which are easily accessible from the Windows 11 and Windows 10 update history pages. Note that the April 2024 security update includes the resolution for an issue that affects Windows Server domain controllers (DCs). This resolution was first introduced as part of Out-of-Band updates released on March 22 and 25, 2024.

Windows known issues and product lifecycle in Graph API

The Windows updates API in Microsoft Graph now offers easy access to data on Windows known issues and product lifecycle. Before today, this data could be accessed via the Microsoft Lifecycle Policy site, known issues, and the Windows release information pages. When to use Windows 10 Extended Security Updates

Learn how to prepare for Windows 10 End of Support and take advantage of a new offer for those using cloud-based management. Time zone updates for Kazakhstan, Samoa, and Palestinian Authority

Three time zone changes have been put into effect as part of the March 2024 non-security preview update and the April 2024 security update. Samoa has abolished the use of DST. Kazakhstan has switched to a single time zone throughout the entire country. The Palestinian Authority has delayed the beginning of DST for 2024 and 2025. Retirement of Policy Management for Draft with Copilot in Outlook

The message announces the retirement of the Policy Management feature for Draft with Copilot in Outlook on April 15, 2024. Administrators will no longer be able to disable Draft with Copilot in Outlook, and instead, eDiscovery for Copilot in Outlook is recommended.

Upgrading Teams webinar users to new version

Microsoft Teams will replace the ‘Add registrations to meetings’ feature with the new ‘Webinar’ meeting type. The change will take effect on June 30th, 2024. Teams Admins will not be able to assign the “-AllowMeetingRegistration” to any new users, and Teams users with this policy will not be able to create any new ‘meetings with registration’ post-June 30th, 2024. Users can create webinars using the new ‘Webinar’ meeting type, and may update their internal documentation accordingly. Detailed documentation is available on the Microsoft Support website.

Manage Distribution Groups URL update in Microsoft Outlook on the web points to the new Microsoft Exchange Admin Center

The URL to manage distribution groups in Microsoft Outlook on the web will be updated to point to the new Exchange Admin Center. The old URL will continue to work until mid-2024. Non-admin users will be redirected to the new Exchange Admin Center. The update will happen automatically in early April 2024 and users are advised to refer to the article on managing Distribution Groups for more details.
