Virtual Appointment desktop joins route to Teams web

Schedulers can enable the ‘have attendees join from a web browser’ setting so that attendees joining the virtual appointment on desktop will be routed to the Teams web browser experience. This allows attendees to have access to engagement features including raise hand and live reactions.

macOS name change: Microsoft Teams to Microsoft Teams classic MDM Impact

With the recent GA of New Teams on Mac, there are changes that impact the management of some tenants regarding new Teams and Microsoft Teams classic (formerly Microsoft Teams). New Teams, now with the app name Microsoft Teams (work or school), exists side by side on macOS with Microsoft Teams, now with the app name Microsoft Teams classic. Via an in-app toggle, users can seamlessly switch between New Teams and Microsoft Teams classic.

However, there are implications for tenant administration that have arisen that administrators should be aware of.

What’s new in Test Base for Microsoft 365: September 2023

New capabilities are here for Test Base for Microsoft 365. It’s a service that allows you to test your applications against Windows feature and quality updates in a Microsoft-managed environment. Starting September 26, 2023, you can test your applications on Windows 11, version 23H2 and you can do so using Custom Image. Join the Test Base community and express your interest in the private preview of two new features: Test Base Chat and testing apps for Windows on Arm.
