Outlook mobile for iOS and Android is updating feedback policies to match Microsoft documentation, allowing log files and content samples in feedback when policies are ‘Not configured’. Rollout begins late January 2025, completing early February. No admin action needed, but review of configurations is advised.

UI Changes to the Microsoft 365 app

As noted in MC958903, we are updating the Microsoft 365 app name and icon to Microsoft 365 Copilot in mid-January 2025. In addition, we are evolving the app’s UI to support future AI-first experiences. Key changes include reducing the top app header, consolidating all app-level tools and settings into the App toolbar on the left, and retiring features like Help me create and My Day from the app.

Microsoft Teams admin center: Non-disruptive device operations for Microsoft Teams devices

The Microsoft Teams admin center introduces a feature for Android-based Teams devices to perform updates and configurations only when devices are idle, preventing disruptions during active use. This will start rolling out in late February 2025 and requires updates to the Teams app and admin agent app.

Support for .FBX and .SKP three-dimensional file formats in Microsoft 365 apps will retire

Microsoft 365 apps will retire support for .FBX and .SKP file formats on March 1, 2025, due to security concerns. Users must convert these files externally after this date. Existing inserted 3D models will remain unaffected. No admin action is required.

Update to Get-CsDialPlan, Get-CsOnlineUser, and Get-CsUserPolicyAssignment cmdlet in the Teams PowerShell Module

Starting January 2025, the Get-CsDialPlan cmdlet will be deprecated, along with the DialPlan attribute from Get-CsOnlineUser and LocationProfile attribute from Get-CsUserPolicyAssignment. Organizations using Microsoft Teams Phone services should prepare for these changes, which require no admin action but may necessitate updates to documentation and automations.

Microsoft products are transitioning to the cloud.microsoft domain by November 2024. The domain, provisioned in early 2023, hosts authenticated SaaS products. Services like Microsoft Outlook are available on this domain, with previous domains redirecting soon. Organizations should educate users and update in-house apps to ensure compatibility.
