We are introducing a new change to the Power Platform admin center that will extend access for environment admins (system administrators) to access the security page and manage the security and compliance of their environments. Previously, access to this page was limited to tenant admins.

Microsoft Entra: New People administrator role

We are excited to announce the upcoming People administrator role in Microsoft Entra, designed to improve and streamline administrative capabilities in Microsoft 365. Developed from customer feedback, this role will provide dedicated permissions for managing people-related settings and profile photos without needing the high privileges of Global admin or User admin roles.

Microsoft Teams: Third-party chat and meeting keyboard shortcut support

Users familiar with keyboard shortcuts from third-party chat and meeting applications can use those same shortcuts in Microsoft Teams. To enable this, go to the Settings and more button in the upper right, access the keyboard shortcuts dialog, and select a communication or meeting layout. This allows users to apply the shortcuts they are used to from other applications.

Dynamics 365 Field Service – Summarize work orders with Copilot in the mobile app general availability

We are announcing the Summarize work orders with Copilot in the mobile app feature for Dynamics 365 Field Service. With this feature, technicians get the ability to summarize their work orders with Copilot within the Field Service mobile application. The summary provides them with meaningful context of the work they are about to perform. It can include notes, diagnostic information, key events in the work order lifecycle, and recommendations. This feature will reach general availability on March 26, 2025.

Microsoft Copilot Studio – Support Lockbox for GenAI

We are announcing the Support Lockbox for GenAI feature for Microsoft Copilot Studio. This feature provides an interface for customers to review and approve or reject data access requests; used in cases where a Microsoft engineer needs to access customer data during, for example, a support request. This feature will reach general availability on February 28, 2025.

Microsoft 365 admin center: Enhancements to Integrated apps page

The Integrated apps page in the Microsoft 365 admin center provides IT admins with tools to manage agents. With this rollout, we are introducing a new Shared Agent management section, enabling IT admins to gain visibility into individually shared agents and take actions such as blocking agents to ensure compliance and security.

Microsoft Purview | Insider Risk Management: DLP alerts as indicators

Coming soon to Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management (IRM) admins will be able to select Data Loss Prevention (DLP) alerts as indicators in IRM policies. After this rollout, IRM admins can select DLP policies that they would like to bring into IRM and detect if a user has alerts for the pre-selected DLP policies. When an IRM alert is generated, admin and analysts can see if there are any high-risk alerts for this user within DLP for the policies that are enabled as indicators. This feature will help admins and analysts view this information in IRM without switching to DLP.
