Microsoft Purview | New eDiscovery Hold reports

Microsoft Purview is introducing a new tenant-wide Hold report in eDiscovery (Premium), rolling out from mid-April to end of April 2024 globally, and from late May to late June 2024 for GCC, GCCH, and DoD. This report will provide information on all hold policies within eDiscovery cases. Organizations need a subscription supporting Purview eDiscovery (Premium) to access it. Microsoft Teams: Updates to sharing app content in a meeting

Microsoft Teams is introducing updates to app sharing in meetings, with a Public Developer Preview in mid-April 2024 and General Availability in mid-May 2024. New features include one-click sharing for non-collaborative apps and the ability for developers to enable sharing of specific app parts. No user education is required for the rollout.

Microsoft Viva Goals: Custom check-In templates for new teams

Reminder: Azure Information Protection Add-in for Office is retired

The Azure Information Protection (AIP) Unified Labeling add-in for Office is retiring on April 11th, 2024. Organizations must transition to the Microsoft Purview Information Protection client for continued support. Important dates include the release of a new client and the permanent disabling of the AIP add-in in May 2024. Organizations should refer to the provided playbook and blog for migration steps and details.

Microsoft Purview | Audit: New HighCompleteness parameter in Search-UnifiedAuditLog Audit cmdlet

The new HighCompleteness parameter in the Search-UnifiedAuditLog cmdlet for Microsoft Purview Audit will ensure more exhaustive audit log records, prioritizing completeness over retrieval speed. Microsoft Viva Learning: Recommend courses to user groups

Microsoft Teams: Save meeting content with collaborative annotations as a Microsoft Whiteboard

In Microsoft Teams, presenters can enable annotations during screen sharing, allowing all participants to collaborate live. Meeting content with annotations can be saved as a Microsoft Whiteboard, accessible for continued collaboration post-meeting. Rollout begins late May 2024, with no admin action required.

Microsoft Edge: Auto-discarding Sleeping Tabs

Tabs that have been sleeping for a long time will be discarded to save memory. When a user navigates back to a discarded tab, the tab will need to be reloaded. This can be managed through the AutoDiscardSleepingTabsEnabled policy. This policy will be enabled if the SleepingTabsEnabled policy is enabled.
