Microsoft Viva: Viva Glint – Configure user and survey data retention for deleted users in Viva Glint

With the new control in Viva Glint, service administrators can now configure whether to retain or delete survey and relevant indefinable user data for users who are manually deleted from Glint or deleted via the signals received via Microsoft Entra. This will ensure that the consistency of previously generate Glint survey reports is retained and user data is handled in accordance with the relevant organizational policies. We will also process the delete signals received via Microsoft Entra and handle the corresponding user data retention or deletion as per our terms of service.

Microsoft Teams: Report external users for security concerns in Teams

Users can now report suspicious external users directly within Teams, alongside existing block actions. Reports are surfaced in the Teams admin center, giving admins visibility into potentially risky interactions and enabling them to investigate and take appropriate actions. This enhancement helps organizations respond faster to phishing, impersonation, and other external threats while leveraging end-user signals as an additional layer of protection.

Microsoft Viva: Viva Glint – Copilot assisted commenting in Glint survey taking

Viva Glint survey takers will be able to use a streamlined version of Microsoft Copilot in the Glint survey taking experience to help them rewrite their comments, helping survey takers feel more confident about the feedback they’re providing. By increasing perceived security through reducing identifiable writing patterns and minimizing the effort required to refine feedback, this experience can encourage greater participation, longer responses, and more candid comments, which can drive higher engagement and richer insights from surveys.

Microsoft Purview: Data Security Investigations – Introducing new custom examination

Data Security Investigations (DSI) is introducing the ability to create custom examination focus areas. This feature will empower admins to tailor examination to their specific needs depending on the type of investigation being performed and the information they are most concerned with. This addition works alongside DSI’s AI-powered content analysis features, such as categorization, AI search, and examination for risk, which help surface data security risks buried in data.

Microsoft Purview: Insider Risk Management-AI app selection for Generative AI apps indicators

Customers can precisely choose which AI app they should use to detect any of the Generative AI apps indicators. This is applicable to the following indicators: “Entering risky prompts in Copilot”, “Receiving sensitive responses from Copilot”, “Entering risky prompts in enterprise AI apps”, and “Receiving sensitive responses from enterprise AI apps”. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Microsoft Viva: Viva Glint – Configure data retention policy for Viva Glint

This feature will introduce the capability for Glint service administrators to configure a data retention policy for their Glint instances based on the organizational policies. Any past survey cycles including engagement surveys, always-on surveys, lifecycle surveys and 360s will be retained/deleted based on this data retention configuration period.

You can now customize the meeting toolbar by pinning, unpinning, and reordering controls to match how you work. Raise Hand is grouped under Reactions to reduce mis-clicks, and Leave is clearly separated on the right. It may feel different at first, but it’s designed to be faster and easier to use.
