Meeting Join Custom Branding

This new release of meeting Join Custom Branding will allow tenant admins to upload their company logo to the Teams admin portal so it appears on the meeting pre-join and lobby screens for meetings organized by members of their tenant.

The logo will be seen by users joining on desktop, web, and mobile.

Microsoft 365 profile update: Add topics to user profiles

We’re adding new features to the profile card in Microsoft 365 and beginning in early August. Users in your organization will be able to add topics directly to their profile card in Microsoft 365 apps and services or through Office Delve.

  • Topics are terms that individuals can add to their profile through their profile card or Office Delve.
  • Users can add topics to their profile to make it easier for people to learn more about them.
  • Topics can be skills, projects, and even hobbies.
  • When others search for a term that matches a topic on their profile, their name and profile picture may show up in search results across Microsoft apps.

Teams Call Quality Dashboard – Dimension Name Change

We’re making a change to Microsoft Teams Call Quality Dashboard (CQD).

On August 9, 2021, we’re renaming the Meeting Scenario dimension to Scheduling Source App. This is to better improve the user experience when creating custom queries by ensuring dimension names are easier to understand and will accommodate third-party applications in Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft Exchange Online – Configuration Change for online meetings by default

Support for PSTN users to raise hand in meetings and for meeting organizers to manage PSTN audio capabilities.

Presenters and Organizers can now prevent public switched telephone network (PSTN) participants from unmuting. This change also allows PSTN participants to request to speak by raising their hand in a meeting via dial-pad command (press *5). This is rolling out on desktop, web and mobile.

Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Creating allows in the Tenant Allow/Block List

We understand that, from time to time, you might disagree with an Exchange Online Protection (EOP) filtering verdict. With this update, you will be able to override filtering verdicts using the Tenant Allow/Block List (TABL) in the Defender portal while your submission is being reviewed.
