Intelligent Chat Message Translation in Teams iOS and Android

This feature is an Intelligent translation feature. Teams Mobile will prompt the user to translate a message when it’s not in a language they understand. This feature will be available for both iOS and Android platforms.

Legacy TLS reports in Service Trust Portal will be retired before July 31, 2022

The legacy TLS reports, including ‘Monthly Trend of TLS 1.0/1.1 Usage’ and ‘TLS 1.0/1.1 Deprecation Report’ in Service Trust Portal were created to help customers identify clients that are using legacy TLS protocols.

TLS 1.0 and 1.1 have been disabled for most of Microsoft 365 capacities, and the legacy TLS reports became less relevant.

Microsoft Lists Formatting: Update to filepreview elmType in custom formatters

Custom Formatters allow users to write declarative JSON to emit HTML. The “filepreview” elmType was introduced to show thumbnails in SharePoint document libraries with a fallback “fileType icon” for the cases when thumbnails aren’t available.

We came across a usage of this feature that allowed embedding external URLs on a SharePoint list. While we understand the powerful scenarios this could open up, we would want to make sure we permit it post due diligence and after addressing any security concerns.

Important Information about your Microsoft Power Automate and Logic Apps service

Microsoft is deprecating the Dataverse Legacy Connector (formerly CDS 2.0 connector) for use with Logic Apps and Power Automate starting Thursday, June 30, 2022. This deprecation will transition users from the Dataverse Legacy connector to the Microsoft Dataverse Connector.

Microsoft Purview Data Lifecycle & Records Management & eDiscovery- Rollout update: optimized file version behavior

To improve the consistency of experience and performance, any file with multiple versions that is deleted from SharePoint or OneDrive which is preserved to the Preservation Hold Library (due to its applicable retention label, retention policies or eDiscovery holds) will now be retained as a single file containing its full version history, rather than each version being retained as individual files as has been the case until now.

We are pleased to confirm that rollout of this feature (originally announced in MC288633 October ’21) is now unblocked and will begin in mid-July 2022.
