Admins can now pin Microsoft 365 Copilot and companion apps (People, File, Calendar) to the Windows taskbar via a new setting in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Rollout starts October 2025, with the toggle off by default. Pinning applies only if apps are installed and can be managed by admins.
Custom Engine Agents (CEAs) are now available in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote, expanding Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility. CEAs run on partner services, appear in the Copilot pane, and allow users to generate and insert content. Full rollout is expected by October 13, 2025, with no admin action required.
Microsoft Viva Glint will introduce a toggle to retain or replace first and last names of deleted users, improving data traceability and compliance. This feature, enabled by default, rolls out mid-October 2025. Administrators should review and configure settings by November 1, 2025. Changes apply only to future deletions.
