Microsoft Purview compliance portal: eDiscovery (Standard) to eDiscovery (Premium) case migration tool

This feature release enables user to move their existing eDiscovery Standard case to eDiscovery Premium’s new case format. Existing search and hold inside the case will be maintained. After migration, user has the ability to continue their work in the migrated case following eDiscovery Premium’s workflow pipeline.

This change will enable admins to export the list of items pending disposition review or disposed items for a label using a PowerShell cmdlet without the 50,000-item limitation that applies to exporting via the UX.

Announcing the retirement of ‘Getting Started’ in the Expanded View of the Power BI Service

The Power BI Service’s expanded view gives you the option to view “Getting Started” content at the end of your Home Page. From the “Getting Started” section, you can utilize information on how to get started using Power BI, tips and tricks on how to create/utilize reports and dashboards, etc.

Health dashboard moving to admin center homepage

A new Dashboard page was added to the Health section of the Microsoft 365 admin center in July 2022. Based on feedback from users, it is being moved out of the Health section to become an optional view on the admin center homepage. You can switch from the traditional dashboard view to the health view by clicking the on the top right hand of the homepage.

The original service health page remains in the Health section with no changes.

Email notifications for “Issues in your environment that require action”

In December 2021, a new section was added to the service health page in the Microsoft 365 admin center, featuring “Issues in your environment that require action.” These types of issues are not caused by Microsoft services being unhealthy, but by something specific to your organization that require an admin to take action.

Improved Upload experience and retirement of the ‘Get Data’ page in Power BI

We will be retiring the ‘Get Data’ page in Power BI as well as the ability to connect to files from personal OneDrive accounts. Going forward, users can utilize a new streamlined Upload experience and we recommend connecting to files using OneDrive for Business or SharePoint for uploading local files.

Microsoft Teams: Hardware Occupancy Sensor Integration

With supported occupancy sensor hardware, a notification banner is displayed on the Teams panel if the room is occupied when it is available or if the room is not occupied when it is reserved. The room will also be auto checked in when the sensor detects occupancy if check in is enabled.

This update delivers improvements to in-meeting notifications on Teams Rooms on Windows and aligns them with Desktop’s framework. All critical notifications that require a user action will be shown on console.

Introducing OneNote viewer in Teams mobile apps

We are excited to announce the OneNote viewer feature within Teams mobile apps.

Through this new feature, users will be able to open and view OneNote notebooks right within their Teams mobile apps. Users interested in editing the content will be directed to the standalone OneNote mobile app. The experience will be available as part of the Teams mobile apps on Android and iOS (including iPads) starting with English language users, followed by international languages.
