Manage Enhanced Teams Apps for Outlook from the Microsoft 365 Admin Center

In April 2022, Microsoft announced the Preview of Enhanced Teams Apps for developers to extend personal apps and message extensions to other parts of Microsoft ecosystem, like Microsoft 365 and Outlook.

Previously, admins in the targeted release program were managing their Enhanced Teams Apps for Outlook via the Teams Admin Center. We’re moving this experience to Integrated Apps on the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Teams Admin Center will continue to remain the surface for managing apps on Teams clients.

Account Linking Experience with new Microsoft Bing and Edge AI Features

Microsoft just announced new generative AI experiences coming to Microsoft Bing and Edge. These will become available as a preview to individuals accessing Bing.com or using the new Discover feature in the Microsoft Edge Sidebar with their personal Microsoft Account (MSA).

Some users who sign up for access to the new Bing experience with their MSA may also have linked that MSA account to their Azure Active Directory (AAD) work account. Even under these conditions, access to these new Bing experiences is only associated with their MSA.

Updates to Viva Insights Teams and Web App

We’re consolidating the Viva Insights app in Teams and on Microsoft365.com into four tabs: Home, Wellbeing, Productivity, and Teamwork. We’re also updating the design, modifying the navigation, adding new insights and recommendations for qualifying managers, changing how we define teams, and bringing over some functionality from the now-retired MyAnalytics dashboard. 

Note: Senior leaders with three or more reporting layers will continue to see the previous Viva Insights app, including the Organization trends tab. In the coming months, we’ll share an updated roadmap of improvements tailored to this audience.

Schedule Send Suggestions Available in Microsoft Teams Chat

When composing a 1:1 message in Teams chat after-hours, users will see schedule send suggestions that enable postponing message delivery until the start of the chat recipient’s working hours. Schedule send suggestions will be available as default on.

  • With schedule send suggestions for chat turned on, users with Viva Insights subscriptions can get an unlimited number of scheduling suggestions for postponing message delivery to their coworkers.
  • With schedule send suggestions for chat turned off, users will not get any schedule send suggestions.

Download History Functionality available on Service Trust Portal (STP)

The Service Trust Portal is Microsoft’s public site for publishing audit reports and other compliance-related information associated with Microsoft’s cloud services.

“My Download History” is a net new functionality now live on STP. On the My Download History tab, you can view and export a download history of documents downloaded from the Service Trust Portal within the last 18 months. The history includes the document title and download date, and the document status, such as whether it is live, has a newer version, or has been deleted. The full download history can be exported to a CSV file.
