We are introducing a cmdlet called Test-Message that tenant admins can use to independently investigate issues related to the processing of their Exchange Transport Rules (ETRs) and Unified DLP rules without having to engage Microsoft support for assistance.

Announcing General Availability for Release planner

We are excited to announce that the Release planner is now generally available (GA) to users. The Release planner for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform enables users to view and manage release plans across all active release waves in a unified and interactive interface while giving them the option to personalize, filter, sort, and collaborate on release plans.

Under the hood, the Release planner is powered by the Power Apps portal. It is created based on customer feedback to address the constraints of content suitability, discoverability, and personalization.

Outlook on the web – Update locations to message compose options

Originally announced in MC427760 (September ’22), Outlook on the web is updating where some message-compose options are located, depending on how you use Outlook.

  1. For all users – The formatting bar will be relocated to the top of the message compose window, similar to the common “ribbon” you see in other Microsoft apps.
  2. For all users – When composing a new email message, the “Send”, “Discard”, and formatting bar will now be located at the top of the compose window.
  3. For users with “newest on top” option – When you reply to a message, the “Send”, “Discard”, and formatting bar will be located at top of the compose window.

Additional Filters in Approvals update

Microsoft Teams approval list within the personal app will include additional filters to filter your approval list. You can search for keywords in the Approval title or filter by Requested or Custom approvals.

We have refreshed the OneDrive Commercial Web landing experience to help you get to the files you’re working on quickly and easily. The new OneDrive Home experience surfaces your most recently used files, along with relevant file activity, so you can see everything at a glance and quickly prioritize where to start working.

Teams in-context Stores

The in-context stores are found in menus throughout the Teams experience that let users discover and install apps that support the specific context the user is in. For example, when a user opens the Message extension (ME) in-context store they are shown a selection of apps that have the ME capability. Discovering apps in the in-context Store keeps users in their flows and avoids unnecessary context switching.

Microsoft Teams: Automatic lowering of a user’s Raised Hand after speaking

Teams will soon have a feature that will alert attendees in meetings that have raised their hands and already had their questions addressed to automatically lower their hand. This will allow meeting organizers the opportunity to focus on unanswered questions.

This release will be rolling out only to Microsoft Teams Desktop users.

ContextIQ: Inline Search During Message Composing

Meeting Recap on Outlook on the web

Meeting Recap is a new feature on Outlook on the web that allows meeting participants to quickly access meeting content, such as the meeting recording, easily from the calendar event. After a meeting has ended, users can open a meeting on their calendar to find links to meeting artifacts for easy access. The feature currently supports meetings scheduled using Microsoft Teams with the following limitations:

  1. Meeting recordings started through auto-record in Teams will not appear in the recap
  2. Teams channel meetings
  3. Meetings scheduled on group calendars
  4. Ad-hoc meetings
