Exclude files from topic discovery based on applied sensitivity labels

This release will enable you to select sensitivity labels that exclude SharePoint files from topic discovery. Once this new configuration is saved, files with the selected labels will no longer be included as part of the discovered list of files for an AI-suggested topic. Any description or alternate names extracted from those files will also be removed from the AI-suggested topic.

Note: If you are not using Microsoft Viva Topics and sensitivity labels, you can safely disregard this message.

Room Finder for Outlook Mobile

The room search & book experience users are accustomed to in Outlook Mac, Windows and Web will be available in Outlook for iOS and Android. Users can search, check availability and book conference rooms directly from the Create Event screen.

Outlook Mobile is here to make the transition to hybrid work easier. Users can now leverage Room Finder or Book a Workspace features when they need to find space to work – no matter if they need focus time or a room for a large group meeting.

Forms Integration with Bookings

Organizations using the Microsoft Bookings app in Teams for virtual visits can now collect information from attendees and be able to securely share it with the staff while maintaining industry specific compliance requirements (such as HIPAA). Microsoft Bookings app in Teams will be integrated with Microsoft 365 Forms to support end to end (Pre-visit) workflows for virtual visits.

Emissions Impact Dashboard for Microsoft 365 (preview)

The Emissions Impact Dashboard for Microsoft 365 is a Power BI template app that allows Microsoft 365 admins to measure the greenhouse gas emissions associated with their organization’s usage of Microsoft 365 applications. The dashboard is now available in preview and includes emissions associated with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams.

Message Center Email Notification Changes

Beginning in early April 2022, admins within your tenant will no longer receive the Message center weekly digest and major update email notifications by default. Any existing admins who have customized their Message center email preferences will continue to receive these emails, based on their customized preferences, and this update will have no impact. This change will also not affect the opt-in state for email notification of Data Privacy related messages.

New admins, specifically those with the roles of Global Admin, Message Center Reader or Message Center Privacy Reader, will be subscribed to a 4-week trial period for the Message center weekly digest and can choose to stay subscribed once the trial has concluded by using the Message center preferences menu.
