You can now install the web version of OneDrive as a Progressive Web App (PWA) in Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox or other browser that supports Progressive Web Apps (with the exception of Safari). After you install the web version of OneDrive as a Progressive Web App, you can launch it from your desktop, and it will work the same way as it does in your web browser.

SharePoint: Updates for Microsoft Teams connected team sites

With this new feature, when you create a team in Microsoft Teams, a SharePoint team site will automatically get created in tandem and you are also able to connect any existing SharePoint team site to a new team in Microsoft Teams. These are called Microsoft Teams connected team sites.

For private channels in Microsoft Teams, a SharePoint team site automatically gets created and is known as a channel site. These Teams connected team sites and channel sites are managed differently than your typical SharePoint team site.

Edit your workbooks now with ActiveX

Delighting our customers with faster, smoother, and frictionless experiences in Excel for the web is an uncompromised goal across the Excel team. With this in mind, we recently added support to open and edit workbooks with ActiveX, Form controls and other legacy art objects in Excel web.

In response to customer feedback, this represents another step forward to help customers quickly open Excel files and edit them with less friction in the process. This communication is meant to highlight the changes our customers are asking for, and to reaffirm our commitment and ongoing investment in Excel for the web to enable rich end user experiences.

Chat Bubbles

Previously, Teams users needed to manually open a chat window to view the chat screen. Now thanks to this new feature, chats sent during a Teams meeting will surface on the screens of all meeting participants, making the chat more central to the conversation.

Microsoft Lists: @mention people in comments

You’ll now be able to “mention” people you work with while adding a new comment to a list Item. This will help people share and collaborate on list items.

The person who receives a notification can click a link that takes them directly to the comment in context, review the comment, and take the requested action.
